Description: Small Vintage 1970's Clay Pot Planter Terra Cotta With Applied Copper Band 5" high x 4.5" wide at belly, inside opening narrows down to 2.25" across.The piece was Artisan made in Mexico. Rustic and primitive with patina.Colors are terra cotta, green, and whitewash with a matte finish.There is a thin rope tied around the neck.The pot is round with a flat bottom.The metal band could be brass, but looks like tarnished copper. It is about 7/8" wideand is formed to fit tightly around the belly of the pot.Can be used as a small vase, cachepot, or planter. Not food safe.Because these type of pots are fired at low temperatures they are quite fragile. To avoid cracking or breakage always bring the pot to room temperature before using and fill with whatever is being put inside with a tepid temperature. Also, avoid placingcold liquids in a warm pot and vice versa.Will be well padded and wrapped for shipping.In very good clean used condition. No cracks. Top is intentionally not level by the artist.
