Description: Original 1950s spun metal lamp in working condition The brand is unknown, but probably made in Australia. The markings on the base give no clues.Made from aluminium spun metal and featuring brass gooseneck. The lid raises and lowers, and slides sideways.The shade is made from of a type of hard plastic. As can be seen in the photo it has a melt mark and a 5 cm crack at the top. I’m not sure how easy it would be to replace, perhaps a 3D printer? As it is, these faults are not easily noticeable.Has been fitted professionally with a new power cord. Measures 24cm tall, 21 cm diameter at topA rare original and very hard to find lamp, a classic of the Atomic Era of the Mid Century.
