Description: My late husband worked for a food/beverage brokerage & at one time represented Wick Fowler's Famous 2-Alarm Chili. This was a promotional gift. Buckle measures 2.75 x 2.25. Brass. The glare on the photo adds some shading that to the buckle. Homer Thomas Wilson "Wick" Fowler was born in 1909 in Big Sandy, TX. Fowler was a journalist & war correspondent who covered WWII & the Vietnam War. Fowler's passion for chili led him to co-found the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) & participate in the first chili cook-off in Terlingua, TX in 1967. This event, which he tied for 1st place, helped establish his reputation in the chili world. The 2-Alarm Chili kit was created to bring the authentic taste of Texas-style chili to home kitchens, allowing people to adjust the heat level to their preference.
