Description: Item up for sale is a wonderful scales of justice desk scale measuring 12-7/8" from top of eagle finial to underside of the base and 9-3/4" wide across the arm and 3-5/8" in depth at the base. Item was found with both scale bowls which will be detached for shipment. Scale was found with 6 metal disc weights. Four of the weights are marked as 20 grm with one weight marked as 10 grm and one weight marked 5 grm. All metal weights show tarnish and patina to varying degrees and could use a polish. Main body of the scale has no maker's mark that we can find. Base and base of center stem test as slightly magnetic along with the scale bowls which also test slightly magnetic.. Center stem, arms and eagle finial were non magnetic with chains on scale bowl also testing non magnetic. Scale arm lock turns and functions as it should. Metal bowls show some residue of an unknown source which easily scrapes off. All metal shows tarnish, soiling, surface wear and patina consistent with age and use. Scale bowls measure 4-3/8" wide across on each. Metal shows no cracks or breaks. Amazing piece that comes fresh to the market. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
