Description: Welcome to Milkweed Antiques. This tree is an original, vintage, green bottle brush tree. Around the bottom of the tree there are three Santas in cardboard sleighs. Each sleigh is gold with silver glitter. Also on the tree are sprigs of holly with berries. There are red foil stars and gold foil circles emulating ornaments. The tree is covered in gold glitter. The top of the tree has a large, gold star that is also covered in gold glitter. It has a wood base that is covered in a "brick" designed fabric. At the top and the bottom of the base is gold braided trim. Inside this wooden base is the music box. There is a round plastic foot that, when turned, plays "Jingle Bells". The tree also rotates. The plastic disc foot is marked "Sankyo - Japan". The tree is 15.5" tall. It comes in it's original box. The box is marked "Yuletide Musical Tree" on a couple of sides. The top is marked "Yuletide Musical" and has it's cellophane window intact. The end of the box states "Yuletide - Musical - Tree - Item No. 2352 - Made in Japan". The box has a set on lid that is stapled at the corners. The base is plain cardboard and still has it's insert. The box is 15-3/4" tall x 5-1/2" wide and deep. The tree is just a tad smaller to fit in the box. This tree is from the 1950s. This tree was used through the years. There is a lot of glue residue at the top to apply the star. I am guessing this is not original. The star has been bent to fit into the box. There are a couple of corner tears on the box lid. Please see my pictures. They help with the description.
