Description: VINTAGE WESTERN AMERICAN COMSTOCK SILVER AUTHENTIC 1973 EVANSTON WYOMING COWBOY DAYS RODEO TEAM ROPING TROPHY BELT BUCKLE—- This original 1973 premium Comstock Silversmiths brand trophy buckle is in good and true vintage condition. It has a naturally aged finish on the brass and nickel-based surfaces that has developed over the 50 years since it was made. The engraving was light and shows a little wear, but it is still readable when viewed close up. Comstock silver was the hallmark stamp used by this manufacturer to indicate that the buckle is a mostly a solid nickel composite of tarnish and wear resistant metals. It is very durable and when shined, it gives the impression of silver, although the buckle does not contain any actual sterling silver.
