The handle is intact and is not fraying. The interior is also black satin, has no stains, or holes. The interior and exterior are clean and have no apparent stains or marks. One side of the opening has a decorative curve of mother of pearl, with the opposite side has black satin over the bar. The closure is a gold painted "button" that clasps close. It works as intended with no difficulty. The purse has a soft scent of powder...not overwhelming.
