Description: The hand coloring of these two owls is so pretty - a light warm orange-tan, white and wide black eyes. Note the eyelashes! The owls are standing on a limb on a pedestal base. The tip of the tail feather of the smaller bird has an imperfection which looks like a small chip, but it is glazed, so it is original to the manufacturing process. See last photo. Otherwise it is perfect. Vintage from the early 1950s, it is stamped with the Laurel Wreath & Clover mark attributed to NIPPON YOKO BOEKI CO., which is still in production today.
