Esquire is an American men's magazine, published by the Hearst Corporation in the United States. Founded in 1933, it flourished during the Great Depression under the guidance of founders Arnold Gingrich, David A. Smart and Henry L. Jackson. Arnold W. Gingrich (December 5, 1903 – July 9, 1976) was the editor of, and, along with publisher David A. Smart and Henry L. Jackson, co-founder of Esquire magazine. The magazine is approximately 10" x 13". This edition contains The Esquire Girl - Shining Carol Toby. It also contains the following articles, "Let's Stop Laughing At Brooklyn - Borough of Isolation", and "Storm On The Mississippi - Disaster Among The Duck Hunters", among many others. Internally, it is firmly bound with 166 pages. Overall, it is in Fair+/Good- Condition. The boards are present, but no longer connected. The boards have wear, with some browning, discoloration, nicks, chips, creases, stains and tears. There are creases in the corners and creases on some of the pages. The spine has tears and some stains - Some age-related browning on the pages, as well as some foxing and spotting. There are some nicks along the edges of a few pages. Some pen marks and/or other stains on a few pages. It has a faint musty smell and wet stains/water damage. Other small dings here and there.
