Description: Vintage Folk Art Landscape Painting River Lake Scene Naïve Unsigned Framed 10.5" This rustic unsigned folk art style painting will make a great addition to your collection. It features a plein air composition of a river or lake scene with trees in the foreground and background on a canvas panel. The treatment of the paint leads me to believe that it is either a student work or that of an untrained individual in the realm of outsider or naïve art. Will blend perfectly in collections containing folk art, outsider and student art and more. It does have wear so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. Thank you and enjoy! ITEM DETAILS: Approximate weight is 15 ozsMeasures approximately 1" deep x 14.5" wide x 10.5" tall overall including the frame (roughly). The canvas panel/board measures approximately 8" x 11.875" overall (roughly, it appears that the canvas panel was cut down by the artist and it wasn't cut perfectly square at the corners) Condition: In pre-owned handmade vintage used condition with wear including water stains on the painted wood frame chips, crazing/crackling on the painting surface, yellowing, splitting/cracking on the front of the frame from where the nails were hammered in to hold the joint together, discoloring, heavy wear to the edge of the wood frame where the brown and white paint meet and is worn off exposing the wood, the painting is loose in the frame and slides back and forth a bit, flaking paint, paint voids, stains, scratches, a vertical crack in the white inner edge of the frame on the left side, dirt, dust, grime, chips, splintering, scuffing, scratches, stains, discoloring, miscellaneous paint marks on the front and back of the frame, the mitered joints are roughly cut with gapping/separations, the frame joints are loose and wiggle, it is missing some of the original nails on the back and some have been replaced, the metal hanging wire is rusty and frayed/knotted with sharp ends, visible nails, rough wood surface, splinters, chips, scratches, scuffing, stray paint marks, loose fibers/lent, patina, tarnish and overall wear from age and handling.
