Description: Details: Beautiful vintage French faience ceramic wall fountain featuring hand painted floral design in a predominantly blue on white color palette with yellow, green and muted red accents.The top piece has a lovely, reeded shape with a pewter spigot for dispensing water. The demi-lune shaped basin has two figural female heads on either side and a painted bouquet on the interior. This particular lavabo is an exact replica of the original created in Rouen from the early 19th century. The back of the piece has pre existing holes to hang and is signed "M.D- Made in France". A lovely embellishment for any garden or for use indoors as a charming wash basin.
