Description: One of my favorites!! ****The selection is random****Glassblowers gathers glass – usually starts with clear- from the furnace onto the end of a blowpipe and adds a small bubble of air (this is what ultimately makes the hole in the bead). Color is added by picking up cane of different colors and patterns. More clear may, or may not, be added; the whole thing is re-shaped, re-heated, a punty added to one end and pulled and twisted into a very long cane. The cane is then sliced into bead sized sections, the edges are fire polished or the beads tumbled to smooth the edges and you have gorgeous beads. This is a selection of multiple colors and shapes of this beautiful glass; perfect addition to any piece of jewelry in which you want a pop of color. I have had this collection of furnace glass for years, and have finally decided to part with it. Each bag holds 100grams or approximately 3.5 ounces of mixed color and shape beads.
