Description: Fabulous vintage COLORFUL Haitian Folk Art Signed "Gesner" Oil on Canvas Harvest Time - Cotton Picking in the Tropical Cotton Fields of Haiti!!Description: This is a wonderful vintage framed signed oil painting of 8 women and 1 man picking cotton with baskets in the tropical cotton fields of Haiti! The painting is so brightly colored with yellows, greens, reds, blues, white and turquoise! There is no damage to the painting - no rips or tears but it is old! The outside frame measures approx. 9 5/8" x 13 3/4" and 1 3/8" deep with the frame. Without the frame the canvas would measures approx 8" x 12". The frame is in very nice condition for its age with no damage. The backing has been redone on the back of the painting and it has the hanger intact on the back center. The painting is signed Gesner in the bottom right corner. I am not sure if this is a registered Haitian artist or not but this is a great vintage original painting and would give any room a zap of some wonderful colors!
