Description: Beautiful handmade crotchet vest dating from the early 1940s. Floral motif with a fantastic variety of open stitches using what I think is both wool and cotton yarn. 12 inches shoulder to shoulder. 26 inch bust and 16 inches shoulder to hem. Excellent example of home knit craft. The condition is far from perfect! Please be aware that this piece has several places where repairs have been made using needle and thread. Also, slight discoloration under arms. There are brown threads which have caused gaps in the stitches. All are photographed. Even with the damage, it's gorgeous.
