Description: Please see the listing photos for condition. This previously owned sword with wood and brass scabbard shows some minor wear from age and use. There are some tiny, light scratches and spots on the blade and the three brass rings on the scabbard. The carved wood handle and scabbard have some small, light scratches. The sword is just under 23 inches in total length and the scabbard is 19 inches long. The sword weighs twelve ounces and the scabbard is about nine ounces. The blade is not very sharp. The knuckle guard appears to be aluminum. This and the three brass rings do NOT stick to a magnet. The blade DOES stick to a magnet so probably steel. The two halves of the scabbard do NOT fit snugly together (there is a little play). I do not know when it was made or the type of wood. There are some markings on the blade, but I do not know what they are. This style of sword with carved wood handle and scabbard are very similar to others for sale identified as vintage and from Indonesia. Any information about this sword would be appreciated.
