This Netsuke is a beautifully carved boxwood Foo Dog that is signed by the artist, as I have attempted to show in photos 4 and 5. The detail in the piece showcases the intricate artistry of Japanese culture, with a focus on the use of wood as the primary material. The rich brown color of the wood gives the piece a vintage appeal. I do not know the actual age of the piece, but it has been in my collection for many years, and I believe it to be a vintage original.
