Description: This is a set of 2 vintage and very rare Japanese hand painted ceramic canasters without lids. Would be fantastic for planters or flower pots. They are in very good condition with normal wear and crazing in some of the glaze as shown in the pictures. These are Hotta Yu Shoten & Co. forms, but I think Maruhon Ware acquired the molds for these when Hotta Yu went out of business in 1947, and made these into the 1950's. That is the explanation for the "K" in the cherry blossom logo instead of an "H". Please check out the pictures for details. Thanks for looking!
