Description: Stunning UNUSED vintage Art Deco powder compact made of a shiny gold tone metal with a diagonal design in matte gold tone. This compact has a unique spring load clasp that doubles as the front wall of the compact. There is a little handle at the end of the case that when pressed down the compact lid automatically and gentle pops open. Inside the top is a glass beveled mirror. Below is an empty powder well. Patent 1802796 and made in USA is engraved in the metal near the powder well. This patent number is creditied to Kolter & Kopit, also known as K&K and dates the compact to the 1930's. The compact measures approx. 3 3/4" by 2 1/4" by 7/16". This compact comes with a felt storage case and was part of a collection, therefore unused. Please view all photos.
