Description: This is a stunning & very eye-catching vintage long dress - by Laura Ashley. As time goes on, these Vintage garments are going to be even more rare to come by. Age - Circa 1980's. USA Size: 12UK Size (as per label states): 14 - please check against the measurements below to ensure fit as I would say it is more of a small 14, or a UK 12, as it is not very generous. Measurements (laid flat & measured outside): Armpit to Armpit: 18.5 inches Total Length (from top of shoulder to hem): 50 inchesWidth of waist (horizontal line where skirt section starts): 15 inchesWidth of hem opened up: 51.5 inches Beautiful, long, vintage dress in a dramatic Crimson/Grape colour and finished in soft cotton fabric. Excellent quality material which you would expect from Laura Ashley. The dress features three quarter length sleeves, which are puffy in style. It has a V-shaped neckline to the front, as well as the back. There is a discreet zip to fasten to the back. There is a separate, long belt which has a triangle shaped panel to the front and ties up to the back; this finishes off the dress beautifully. A very pretty garment which is becoming more and more rare as time goes on. The skirt area is very floaty, as there are vertical pleats from the waist down which then open up - the hem measures 51.5 inches in width when open! Falls to just below the calf area, so very long in length. A very elegant and pretty garment. Not lined to the skirt area but it is to the top/bust and back section. Stunning, quality dress & perfect for many special or party occasions; a truly timeless garment. Could also be described as a period/drama piece. Very good, used condition and all of the quality you would expect from Laura Ashley - especially considering its age. It is not in pristine condition but being sold in very good, used condition. All measures will be taken to ensure that the dress is carefully wrapped for the new owner but it may arrive with some creases. Anyone familiar with this high-end brand will know just how good the quality is. Only selling as I have too many garments in collection now. Made in Ireland. 100% Cotton. Dry Clean Only.
