Description: Vintage Lighted Musical Bethlehem Nativity Christmas Set 19” long. This is a beautiful piece and works great, but it's almost 30 years old so it is not completely low maintenance. The battery compartments, albeit featuring holes for screws, were never screwed in but badly glued instead, so when it came time to exchange a couple of bulbs we gently dissolved the glue and then put the compartment back in place with blue tack. It's not pretty but this is the most convenient option and unless you're planning on showcasing it upside down, nobody will ever know. The faces of the figures look much darker on the set than in the photo of the box. We don't know if that was a printing issue, or if there were different versions of this set, or if the previous owners at some point painted the figures darker. They all look very professionally painted and we personally always loved the fact that they looked like people from the Middle East. There is probably some age related wear and tear somewhere, but overall it is in good condition and it is truly one of our favorite nativity sets we've ever come across.
