Description: This is a vintage Mason Fruit Jar, featuring the classic “Mason Fruit Jar” embossing on the front. The jar comes with an original zinc lid, marked “Genuine Boyd Cap for Mason Jars,” with a porcelain liner. This piece is a dug find, showing beautiful iridescence and signs of wear from being buried, giving it a unique character. The jar has some chipping around the rim (see photos), and the zinc lid shows natural patina from age. The lid fits and looks as if it seals properly on the jar, however, when water is put in it, it will leak. What looks like cracks on the bottom of the jar are smooth when you run your fingers across it. Perfect for collectors of antique jars, rustic décor enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates the charm of historical glassware. Please review the photos carefully before purchasing. Feel free to ask any questions.
