Description: **Vintage McCabe Sunset Trails Sterling Silver Headstall / Ranch Show Bridle** Absolutely stunning headstall by the wonderful Stanton family, known as Sunset Trails Silver Company. Quick-change ends showcase this silver-loaded beauty to the full extent. The silver all tests as sterling silver overlay, however, there's been a controversial stamping of "silver plate" on the back of their older buckles, but may have actually represented the original silver overlay (the stamp is unique to Sunset Trails (see pic)). I've had this one tested, and it does test consistent with the other overlay pieces presented and marked as such. The Stantons gathered a team of some of the best engravers in the USA, such as McCabe and the Burns family Saddlery. Together, they produced some of the most notable goods and were worn by the legendary names like James Dean & Will Rodgers. This headstall is in excellent used condition and deserves to be out where it'll get seen. This is an absolutely awesome piece that will get you noticed!
