Description: MCM Mid Century Modern ceramic glazed tiles made in Germany circa late 1950’s early 1960’s or Eames Era. Seriously sassy hand painted depictions of women in period dress. Each scene and woman is different: on telephone, feeding chickens, at the seashore etc. Size is 3” or 7.5 cm square. The original stickers are still attached to each and there are no chips, cracks etc. They’ve been stored in the original box and appear to be unused. The original red felt is attached to the reverse of each tile. The stickers read “handbemalt” meaning “handmade.” I can’t read the tiny writing and long German words on the other triangular sticker. Perhaps you can? These will be carefully and safely wrapped and shipped. 100% of my proceeds go to feed and care for needy kids at my project overseas.
