Description: Vintage Military Shirt from the 1980’s! Size Large! 100% True and Authentic vintage. Armoured Fighting Vehicle! OT-II ; 40/50 Upgunned Turret! I think this may be the Cadillac Gage Commando (I’m not a military expert by any means)! This shirt is in excellent vintage condition. This may have never been worn or possibly only worn 1 time!! NO DRY ROT! Amazing shirt with an awesome graphic and bright colors! The graphic on the front has two alligators or crocodiles that are conjoined twins. They are holding lightning bolts in each hand. I’m not sure if this is a special military unit or a specific navy division or brigade. This may be the Marines, Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard etc. Shirt has such a great look and feel. Super soft! Minimal wear throughout with minimal fading and cracking. No major flaws whatsoever (no major holes, rips, tears). There is a small orange mark on the one sleeve, right next to the armpit but this really blends in and hardly can be seen. Please see below outline on “minor” flaws. This is a true vintage military tee from the 80’s. This is not a reprint or replica. This is 100% true and authentic vintage. Color is yellow (mild fading throughout). Miller “M” Tag. Made in the USA. 50% Cotton, 50% Polyester. Tagged size Large. Please see the following measurements for reference. It measures approximately 18 3/4 by 29 inches. Please be advised of size and approximate measurements. Single stitch sleeves and single stitched hem. Again, this shirt is in excellent vintage condition and as close to new old stock as you get. I personally dont think it has ever been worn. Again…NO DRY ROT! I’ve included pictures of the shirt in front of direct light so you can see how “thin” it is. Minimal to no “wear and tear” throughout as expected from age and use. No major holes or rips or tears. There are some minor flaws outlined below: As mentioned above, there is an orange mark / stain on the sleeve of the shirt. Please see pictures for reference. This is right near the armpit. This really blends in and is very hard to see. I wouldn’t consider this major at all. Minor frays/balling from fabric age and storage. Please see picture for reference. I don’t think this has ever been worn so this is exactly how the fabric is. There is some minor wrinkling throughout. Please see pictures for reference. Please view all pictures. I personally think these all add to the look and character of the shirt. Obviously please be advised of the condition and understand that there are some minor flaws as outlined above. Overall vintage condition is fantastic! This shirt has so much character with its design and color scheme! I don’t consider any of the flaws to be major since they do not jeopardize the integrity of the shirt. All of the aforementioned are expected from age and use and also due to it being categorized as vintage clothing. Please view all pictures thoroughly. All of my shirts have been well taken care of and handled/stored appropriately. Some minor and minimal marks, smudges, cracking, lint, discoloration, piling, wrinkles, etc. could also be present from age and wear. Please be advised this is used and this is a vintage shirt...that means it does have wear and fading. To reiterate....please be advised this is used clothing and this is not a new or modern shirt. Also, please view all pictures and be advised of size, approximate measurements provided and slight flaws (cracking, markings, etc.) that could be present from age and wear. Please read the description in its entirety and if you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out. No low ball offers please! They will be ignored. An armoured fighting vehicle (British English) or armored fighting vehicle (American English) (AFV) is an armed combat vehicle protected by armour, generally combining operational mobility with offensive and defensive capabilities. AFVs can be wheeled or tracked. Examples of AFVs are tanks, armoured cars, assault guns, self-propelled artilleries, infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), and armoured personnel carriers (APC). Armoured fighting vehicles are classified according to their characteristics and intended role on the battlefield. The classifications are not absolute; two countries may classify the same vehicle differently, and the criteria change over time. For example, relatively lightly armed armoured personnel carriers were largely superseded by infantry fighting vehicles with much heavier armament in a similar role. Successful designs are often adapted to a wide variety of applications. For example, the MOWAG Piranha, originally designed as an APC, has been adapted to fill numerous roles such as a mortar carrier, infantry fighting vehicle, and assault gun. Armoured fighting vehicles began to appear in use in World War I with the armoured car, the tank, the self-propelled gun, and the personnel carrier seeing use. By World War II, armies had large numbers of AFVs, together with other vehicles to carry troops this permitted highly mobile manoeuvre warfare. The Cadillac Gage Commando, frequently denoted as the M706 in U.S. military service,[7] is an American armored car designed to be amphibious.[6] It was engineered by Cadillac Gage specifically for the United States Military Police Corps during the Vietnam War as an armed convoy escort vehicle.[7] The Commando was one of the first vehicles to combine the traditionally separate roles of an armored personnel carrier and a conventional armored car, much like the Soviet BTR-40.[8] Its notable height, amphibious capability, and waterproofed engine allowed American crews to fight effectively in the jungles of Vietnam by observing their opponents over thick vegetation and fording the country's deep rivers. The Commando was eventually produced in three distinct marks: the V-100, V-150, and V-200, all of which were modified for a number of diverse battlefield roles.[3] An unlicensed copy of the Commando series, the Bravia Chaimite, was also manufactured in Portugal.[3] After the U.S. military's disengagement from South Vietnam, the Commando series was gradually retired from active U.S. service.[7] It was superseded in the Military Police Corps by the derivative M1117 Armored Security Vehicle during the 1990s.
