Description: MINE SAETY APPLIANCE (MSA) FIBERGLASS HARD HAT Vintage – Full Brim / Reddish-Brown Marked with “JDP” Logo Offered here is a vintage MSA reddish-brown fiberglass hard hat. It's not perfect but looks pretty good: no cracks or breaks. Note that the interior leather head fitting strap has separated. A few details: · “MSA” is embossed on the underside brim· There are 3 ventilation holes on each side of the hat· The exterior cord and hardware is “as found” – not sure if it is original to the hat· The white interior label is illegible – size unknown· There is a “3” printed on the interior with some other markings that are also illegible· The leather head strap is also marked “MSA”· The hat measures 12” long · Very cool “J∙D∙P” logo on front (Diamond Mining Company?) The hat shows general wear from age and use with no major problems (in my opinion) other than the broken head strap. Sold “as-is”.
