Description: This glossy and stunning myrtlewood napkin or letter holder was made in Coos Bay, Oregon by The House of Myrtlewood in the 1960s. The pacific northwest myrtle tree grows only in a small area of southwestern Oregon and Northern California. Myrtlewood is most noted for the quality of its wood, which is hard, fine-grained, and varies in color from very light to a very dark brown, depending on minerals in the soil. This holder is rich golden brown in color and very fine grained. The maker's sticker is afixed to the underside. There are two tiny scrapes on one edge buy otherwise, this is myrtlewood artistry at it's finest and in great vintage condition. *Please note that vintage items may come with wear and tear.
