Description: I had planned to restore this pretty quilt but………….There about 9 squares that should be replaced, especially at the one hole through the quilt which measures 1½" x 2”(lower right in first photo; lower left, 6 squares in, in second photo). The paper squares with pins mark the squares to be replaced. One other finger tip hole in the back that does not go through. Definitely worth effort as this is a pretty quilt with a balanced selection of fabrics from the 1940s and 50s and a bright red center. It is hand-pieced, and hand-quilted at 7 stitches to the inch in 1 1/4” grid . Backing is lavender and has hand-hemmed binding to match, which is unworn except for a 3" length near a corner. The little squares measure 1 1/2” on each side. Clean, thin, with no serious stains or marks but I would give it a soak after repairing. Measures 76” x 57”.
