Description: Realistic 32-1221A FM Wireless Microphone System (sold by Radio Shack) is a two-piece systemconsisting of a body-worn transmitter with attached clip-on microphone, and a base receiver tuned tothe same crystal-controlled frequency. The transmitter fits in your pocket or clips to your belt, and hascontrols for power off, standby, and mic on, and a low battery indicator. The microphone is an electretcondenser type, sensitive, high-quality, and provides excellent frequency response and dynamic range.The transmitter takes a single AA battery (not included) and operates for approximately 50 hours with anew alkaline battery. Base receiver has an extendible antenna for clear reception (nominally 200 feet),controls for power and volume, and indicators for power and ready. The ready light indicates when asignal is being received from the transmitter, and is particularly helpful to let you know that thetransmitter is working. Outputs on the back of the receiver allow connection to a line input ormicrophone input on an amplifier, soundboard mixer, or PA system. Base receiver operates from ACpower or from a 12 VDC source, such as in a vehicle with a 12 V adapter (not included). Two systemsare available: one system broadcasts at 49.830 mHz, the other system broadcasts at 49.890 mHz. Youcan use both systems at the same time without interference. Made in China.
