Vintage Ribbed UNO-VAC MAGNUM 291 1 Quart Thermos in Original Box Pre-owned Used

Description: Vintage used UNO-VAC MAGNUM 291 vacuum bottle that keeps contents steaming hot or frosty cold for many hours. Made by Union Manufacturing Company in Meriden, Connecticut probably in the 70s from 1974 on based on bottle stopper type. Item comes complete in its original box with instructions/replacement parts list and information on how to care for and clean product. This is model No. 291 and is a one quart-.946 litres in size. Features Include: Hi impact plastic cup Exclusive "double seal" threaded stopper Easy to clean No rust No odor "E-Z Carry" fold away handle Please read the condition statement above as the black plastic base on this one has two cracks in it making it fit loosely on the bottom of the bottle. The bottom piece can therefore come off easily by pulling on it. I don't know if the original design was to have the base come off or not but it can be taken off easily now because of that most likely, so please note that. The stainless-steel vacuum bottle is in very nice condition and the black stopper and cup on top are also very nice and clean. This came from an estate of a Vietnam era flight surgeon and everything was in nice clean condition overall. Other than the cracked plastic black base this is in very nice condition and still works as it was designed to do. It does not leak. The base could be secured on more with glue/silicone or tape if you wanted to repair it or do whatever you like with it. I have left it just as I got it for you to do with what you want.
