Description: Vintage "Electric" Train Set with box, 3 tinplate train cars: engine (Rock Island Line C-735), tanker (Gas Mobil Eagle Oil Co. E.O.C. 4010), caboose (Rock Island Line), & 10 pieces of track. Train uses 1 D battery, not included, located in the tanker car. Track forms an oval. Condition as seen in photos: box is rough; track good with 1-2 pieces possibly needing adjustment; train cars fair with wear &, scratches, but still nice for age. Battery compartment is clean & corrosion free. Train set DOES NOT run, likely due to a disconnected wire between the engine & tanker, maybe an easy fix? Engine "Trade Mark M Japan," but set is identical to the Rock Island Set made by ALPS, so M is likely a predecessor or co-brand with ALPS. Circa 1940's - 1960's. Each car measures approx. 3.5" long.
