Description: VINTAGE Salem China Company Colonial Couple 23 Karat Gold Bone China Side Plate This is a beautiful little porcelain dessert plate, 6" in diameter, made by the Salem China Company in the mid-19th century, likely 1940s. Features Courting Colonial Couple decal and 23 karat gold filigree trim. No cracks, scratches or crazing. Shows typical age wear to gold trim and some glazing imperfections on back. There is 1 tiny chip on the rim (see last photo). Gold stamped on back with a "Y" that comes from the phrase: "by Salem China Co. Made in USA 23 Karat Gold."
