When cleats are atached the black button on the front of each pedal is pushed in a eliminates the bearing friction. The spindles turn smoothly but do have bearing wear—there is a small amount of lateral play in each pedal. Ti spindles in perfect condition. Road dirt and scractches on the pedal bodies.
