Description: Vintage 1930's Skippy Aviator by Effenbee made in USA. please note there is some light reflection on the face. All originall, 14" tall Wonderful flight suit with faux fur collar, Cloth helmut with separate leather goggles that swing down and boots. Separate belt. Original Skippy pin "I AM SKIPPY TRADEMARK" Written around the circle of pin "EFFENBEE DOLLS THE REAL AMERICAN BOY" The Aviator suit also has the sewn on insignia. He has his metal heart shaped bracelet that has on both sides "EFFENBEE DURABLE DOLLS" On the back of Skippy's head is incised "EFFENBEE SKIPPY c" Molded and painted hair, some paint loss on top and back of head. Boots have some paint loss at front. Blue painted eyes. This wonderful all original Skippy with all the bells and whistles, a complete costume, would be extremely hard to find. It is from an excellent California collection, and the dolls and toys were bought when they were new and put away in unplayed with condition until the collection was sold. The cloth helmut must have rubbed again the painted hair over the decades.
