Description: Here we have a wonderful and rare Trout Fish Decoy out of Cadillac, Michigan, made by a carver unknown to me. Circa 1930's-40's. This Fish, measuring 6 3/8", is painted a light creamy brown across its belly and rising up the sides and across its back. The mouth, eyes and gills have accenting in red, and the eyes are blue-glass beads held in place with small nails. This great Fish is a treat in every way, with an understated elegance and fantastic form, having an original classic working paint finish. Minor paint loss in areas, with rubs and scuffs. Nevertheless, a very nice piece here, with wear and patina appropriate to the use and age of the fish. A Gem indeed. A small packing fee is include in the shipping total.
