Description: Vintage True Temper Sickle Scythe This old hand sickle/scythe cutting tool is in quite nice vintage preowned condition. It does have some typical surface corrosion to the blade, so therefore it could use a little polishing up. which makes this a nice display piece in a collection or could certainly be put to use as well.The scythe has the twisted, off set, handle so you can cut closer to the soil without involving your hand. Note the large extended curve to this tool. You can cut a "wide swath" with this guy! The wooden handle is riveted to the tang. The handle has the stamped "True Temper" logo, still very legible.
