We were restoring a 1959 Guild M-65 in our shop that had been stripped of it parts. By chance, we had a Guild X-175 come into our shop for repair that had the same truss cover we needed. We made a copy. We had looked for an original without success for years and this saved the day. This is a specific cover that will only fit early Guilds. If you're trying to adapt this for a custom project or reissues, the length of the truss rod cover is 2-3/8" (60 mm), the width 1" (27 mm) and mounting holes, center to center, 1-31/32" (50 mm). The cover is made from a 3-ply black (B/W/B) pickguard .090" thick material with a 45 degree bevel as the originals. We even include the tiny screws you're not going to find at Home Depot. We make these kind of parts all the time for restorations that come into our shop and thought someone else could use one of these covers.
