Vintage UCONN Huskies Men’s Basketball 1999 National Championship Sweatshirt!

Description: The FIRST ONE! This is one classic Vintage University of Connecticut Huskies sweatshirt, in very gently, if ever worn condition.I’m leaning toward never worn. Manufactured by Starter Corporation in New Haven, Connecticut, the sweatshirt measures: 23” armpit to armpit and 29” from top of sweatshirt to its base. The Huskies fresh off of their sixth national championship have represented the State of Connecticut on the national stage enough to be known as the “College Basketball Capital of the World.” It all started in 1999 when the Huskies knocked off Duke 77 to 74 and Khalid El-Amin told the country that “We shocked the World.” This sweatshirt is a classic and when I found it in this condition, I was amazed. Also, the Starter Corp. was huge back in the day. The quality is exceptional. The old Jonathan, the Husky sits atop a circular design that reads: “THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT HUSKIES NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 1999” with the graphic from that year’s “Final Four” reading “1999 NCAA Final Four TAMPA BAY” with an underlined “OFFICIAL LOCKER ROOM TEE” at the base. Huskies blue and white dominates the color scheme along with the tropical orange from Tampa Bay and the deeper orange basketball. It is in exceptional shape free from blemishes. This is exceptional.
