VIntage Victorian Enamel Brooch, antique enamel & gold revival estate brooch

Description: Stunning workmanship makes this Victorian era brooch all the more beautiful. The highly adorned top of this brooch is decorated with enameled blue, white and pink flowers and green leaves. The brooch has a wonderful 3 dimensional look to it. The top being highly decorated with enameled flowers sitting on top of layers of gold to accent the brooch. Wonderful texturing and scroll work set this brooch apart from others. It could be described as Ornate, Gothic, Revival, Victorian, or Art Deco. This unique brooch would be a great piece to wear on just about any occasion! This is the only piece I have seen like this. This wonderful brooch displays scroll work, etching and a raised center enameled design of great intricacy. The shield shape is raised for a three dimensional look. Although the gold content is not marked, it has been tested for 14K gold. This brooch is clearly made in a Revivalist style, popular in the mid Victorian (Grand) period, 1861-1879. The brooch has a hinge on the pin stem. Wonderful articulated shapes and textures come together to form this wonderful shield shaped pendant brooch.
