Crafted as part of an economy series for department and hardware stores, this skillet in this series are becoming increasingly hard to come by. While its cooking surface may exhibit patches of fine etching from age and use, this skillet is very smooth to the touch, remains free from chips, cracks, or repairs. Pan does not sit flat on a granite surface and is not recommended for use on a ceramic stovetop. This is not an issue when using a gas range. This item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal of all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. The item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hour. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, items may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
