Very pretty display bowl with bright sun and hand painted colors in an overall design. The marking WBI stands for the World Banking Institute, which was formed around the 1940's. It was to create jobs and stimulate the economy of underdeveloped nations. Kind of like what the WPA did for Americans in the 1940's, but on a global scale. The initials WBI started appearing on Chinese porcelain, mostly export, thereafter. Condition: There are no chips or cracks however there are some rough mold spots on the bottom rim (see pic# 7, 8 & 9 for best detail) There is also some shading of black that is on the sun in the center of the bowl and can be felt on the glaze (see pic# 6 for best detail).
