ONLY POSTING A COUPLE A DAY SO BOOKMARK ME FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. NOTE - no attempt has been made to polish, clean or otherwise make this knife more attractive for photos. An excellent, boxed Weidsmannheil Jagdmesser or hunting knife with amazing gnarly stag scales and three blades, with the main blade locking. This one is the commemorative for the 100th anniversary of the company’s founding in 1892, so dating back to 1992. Unfortunately, the company stopped producing in Germany in 1994. The company and its assets were eventually bought out by Jim Parker. In other words – they aren’t making these anymore ….. The barrel measures approximately 4 1/4 inches long overall closed. Main polished spear blade measures approximately 3 inches long, edge only. Obverse blade stamped “Weidmannsheil”. Obverse tang stamped with stag head mark for the company and “Weidmannsheil Solingen Germany”. Second blade is a saw with cap lifter, edge measuring 2 7/8 inches long with double teeth. Third blade is an unusual polished, curved spey blade with a bulbed end. Measures approximately 3 inches long along the spine. Beautiful stag scales secured by five polished pins, obverse with circular shield containing Stag Head logo and “Weidmannsheil in arch over. Three bright polished springs, brass liners, double brass spacers. Complete with original box and sticker proclaiming “100 years”. Good snap to all three blades. Rock solid lock up to main blade when open. Scales perfect. The main and spey blades have very light smudges to them – was going to buff them out, but decided against it.
