Vintage Womens Lucerne Lucite, Skeleton, Modernist Watch w/Replacement Band

Please come back often, as we are always buying more goodies to list on ebay. This listing is for a lovely, vintage ladies 1970s era Lucerne watch. This watch has a fabulous modernist design, with a case made of amber colored Lucite, a skeleton back, and a lovely gold colored dial. The case size is 40 mm in diameter. The watch is missing one half of its original band so I'm including a new-old-stock replacement band very similar in style and color to the original band. The new owner will need to provide tension rods for this band. On the backside of the watch, on the side where the band is missing, there is a slight chip in the Lucite at the lug hole. Most likely this caused the tension rod to come out and is the cause of the loss of the band on that side of the watch. I think this should be a fairly easy fix, as the chip can be filled with glue or resin, or by drilling a new hole for the rod. The watch crystal is in good condition. There is one small nick and a few very slight scratches visible under magnification. The Lucite case is also in very good, vintage condition, with only mild scrapes or abrasions on its surface, visible under the magnification of a jeweler's loop. The watch dial is pale gold with a crosshair pattern on the dail and black hands. This watch is manual wind is running at the time of writing this listing. It winds easily and ticks steadily, but the watch's time keeping accuracy has not been tested. I've included a video of the back of the watch, which shows the movement so you can see the watch running. I know nothing of this watch's history or when it was last serviced and can make no guarantees about its future working condition. As a vintage, mechanical timepiece, some form of maintenance/repair should be anticipated and factored into the cost of owning such a watch. As with all aged mechanics, there is always a risk regarding its working condition. You are buying this watch AS IS. After purchase, I will check it to be sure it still works before it is packaged for shipping. If it has stopped working, I will notify the buyer and the buyer may choose to either cancel the sell or renegotiate the price at this time. Once the watch leaves my possession at the post office, the sell is final with no returns. This watch is such a great piece for collections and so unique! I have a number of ladies designer vintage watches for sell and soon to be listed. Collectors of gentlemen's watches might consider a lady's timepiece for their women in their lives. Just a thought!
