Description: Hotel Lexington was built in 1929. Years later it became a brothel and a low rent residential hotel. It closed in 1980. In 1985 it got landmark status but was demolished in 1995. The hotel was built by Schultze and Weaver. Dorthy Lamour lived there and Arthur Godfrey used to broadcast a radio show from there. Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe lived in suite 1806 in the 1950's. The hotel on that spot is now called The Lexington Hotel.
