VTG 1940s "NEW LOOK" Wool Tweed Tailored Feminine SKIRT SUIT EXCNT COND XXS

Description: NO SHIPPING TO CHINA, DO NOT BID as you Won't be able to Pay** 1940's "New Look" Style Gray Wool Tweed Skirt Suit with Flecks of Navy, Ivory and Peach in the weave. Princess-Seamed Jacket with Faux Flap Pockets, Button Down Front. Lined in Navy Rayon Sateen, A-Line Skirt with Metal Zipper. Jacket measures Chest 32", Waist 25-26", Sleeve 21 1/2", Length rear nape seam to hem 20 1/4", Shoulder seam to seam 15". Jacket has shoulder pads, skirt is unlined. Outstanding condition, probably AS NICE AS YOU WILL FIND for a suit of this early vintage. NO MOTH HOLES in either piece, one spot at skirt (see pic). One literally pin-tip size hole at the inside collar edge at the lining (pic) and some light dirt here. There may be a faint dirt line at the collar crease but it's too close to call. 2 of the buttons have tiny nicks on the edges. The Photo shown is of the Original wearer who wore the suit on a train trip to New York City in the 1940s.
