Description: Description: The item up for bids is an elegant circa 1967 Timex 'Marlin' manual wind mechanical wristwatch. It has a sleek round polished chrome case and a pale champagne dial. The hour markers are applied Arabic numerals and it has two hands, hour and minute. It is signed on the face Timex, Waterproof, 20102467. The back is marked Timex / Chr. Plated Bezel / Stainless Steel Back / Waterproof / Dustproof / Shock Resistant. The band is a period correct mesh-like link bracelet with a deployant buckle, it's probably not original but it looks great with the watch. The Timex Marlin is a study in minimalist mid-century modern design, have some fun and bid! Condition: It is a vintage watch and it is being sold 'as-is' as seen in the photos for parts or restoration, no guarantees and no returns. I haven't opened the watch and have not seen the movement. The exterior condition is good vintage. The bezel/watch case is in nice shape with moderate age appropriate handling wear including light scratches, scuff, and dings. The chrome is shiny and bright. The dial, markers, and hands look very good. The watch winds and sets. It ran smooth and steady overnight after a winding. The crystal is decent with minor scuffs and scratches. The band works as designed and the buckle feels solid and secure. There is wear and rubbing to the band and buckle face. The pictures are the best indicator as to condition, please use the zoom feature and check them out. Dimensions: The case is about 33 mm in diameter, and 9.25 mm thick (includes crystal).
