Description: This vintage sweatshirt is a rare find for those who love Carhartt outdoor wear. Notice the old locker tag from the 1970’s and 80’s. Made from heavyweight knit cotton, it is perfect for fall and winter seasons. The crew neck and long sleeves provide comfort and warmth, while the blue color and embroidered logo add a touch of style. This is in excellent condition for its age. There are no rips, stains or holes. The sweatshirt is designed for men and possibly a size XL due to measurements. It features a solid pattern, embroidered Carhartt C logo in gold color and Carhartt name embroidered in red. Doing research, this locker tag labelled: rugged outdoor wear carhartt all in lower case dates back to the 1970’s and 80’s. The size fabric care tag is deteriorating, but you can still see the month of manufacture was 09, the year could be sometime in the 80’s. Look closely at the tag. You can see the Crafted with Pride in USA and part of size L, but you cannot see the X. The thermal lining adds extra warmth, making it suitable for hiking, hunting, and walking. Small snags on inner lining, but no big tears or rips. See the photos and zoom in. There is also minimal pilling on inside of cuffs. Neither of these minor imperfections are visible when worn. Measurements as shown in photos are approximately: Pit to pit: 27 1/2”, Across at waist: 22”, Length down center: 22 1/2”, Shoulder to shoulder: 24”, Sleeve length: 22 2/2” I have not seen another Carhartt item of this age with both tags still attached in this condition.
