Description: Vintage 8" Ginger bride doll dressed in a rare wedding gown and full length lace veil by Cosmopolitan #771. The doll is displayed on the original Ginger logo stand which is made of metal and plastic. Circa 1950's. Original owner. Smoke free home. Very good pre-owned condition. Blue eyes open and close as they should. The head turns. The legs can be positioned to sit or stand. Arms move but are somewhat loose. Ginger's body has separated underneath and needs to be snapped together, see photo. Her hair has a small spot, as seen in the photo, that needs to be rearranged. The doll's outfit is unlabeled, but is original to her. The dress is made of lace and satin. It has come undone in a small spot on the back seam and needs repair, see photo. The back snap closure has the Greek key logo which is characteristic of Ginger dress snaps, see photo. The veil is pinned onto her head with a straight pin which has been there since 1950's. The elastic in the undergarment is stretched. Ginger has a slight blush on her cheeks and is wearing red lipstick. Her eyebrows are light brown. She is unmarked but, I read that the tiny characteristic circle on her left inside wrist identifies her as Ginger. This doll would make a great addition to any collection. Thanks for looking.
