Description: Vintage Ethan Allen HAND PAINTED Asian Porcelain & Brass Ginger Jar Table Lamp 3 Way 27.5" tall to tip of finial, lamp is 14.5" high from base to neck of socket. 31.5" around at widest point in middle. Carved 4-footed rosewood-look base is 6.5" across. Excellent condition, works perfectly. Made by the Ethan Allen company in the 1970s, a top quality high-end lampAsian porcelain ginger jar lamp with round brass cap at neck and brass edge at base above feet. Magnificent hand painted scenes of large lotus blossom flowers and some smaller flowers, with stems and leaves encircling the entire lamp body. There is a very large flower on the front and back of the lamp, and each flower is different so that the lamp looks unique and special from all sidesTop and bottom border of the lamp has a band of smaller flower trim Colors are all hand painted and applied with a raised glaze in a traditional Chinoiserie/famille rose style. Very rich colors.Glaze is a semi- glossy finish, elegant and understatedLovely gold gilded trim details among leaves and within the flowers for a beautiful and decadent touchBackground color of the lamp falls somewhere between a soft peach and a pink color, with shades of raspberry, burgundy, cream, mossy green, light pink, and deep green details. Lamp base is carved stained wood-look with 4 raised feet which allow the cord to pass underneath. Small felt pads on underside protect table surfaces.Lamp is not scratched, chipped, or damaged in any way. 3 way lamp allows you 3 different brightness settings when using a 3 way bulb. Comes w original harp, original very lovely pagoda shaped brass finial. Has original 2 pronged clear gold toned cord which is 77" long, NOT in need of replacing, not brittle or cracked. These are getting harder and harder to find, especially in such great shape. Excellent condition, works perfectly. Brass cap at top has some very FAINT patina darkening in a few TINY areas and 1 darkened line, see last 2 pics. Extremely minor and almost impossible to see unless searching.
