Vtg. Legrand Orleans Superieur Limoges, France v. bowl/tureen set.

Description: The set is sold as is, as found, and as you see it. The sale is for a vtg beautiful Limoges, France Lagrand Orleans Superieur vegetable bowl and soup tureen with lids. The set is in good condition with no chips/cracks but has age related issues. The gold is on both handles, finial handle and edging areas. Both are marked on underside with a green stamp Limoges France with a star logo. A red mark with a bird and Superieur LImoges France Orleans. Both have shelfwear on underside. The left is vegetable bowl. Tarnish in gold, scratches on lid handle, a few tiny wear spots. Some on gold edge border. Scuffs on the rough area on under lid border. May clean with right chemicals. On right bottom piece handle, gold on the side looks bumpy and odd; not a repair or re paint. Made that way. Handles will have light scratches and each handle will have tiny wear spots on edges. A few black dots on underside area. A blue flaw in the white near handle in ceramic. First piece measures 12.5" X 5" X 6 5/8". Interior is 9.5" X 6". Soup tureen: few light scratches on the handle on the lid, a few white speck spots in gold. A yellow color on edge border worn off briefly and spots in the gold wear on edges. A scratch on the border design in the printing. Subtle brown stains; hard to tell in the edge gold border on the bottom piece. Handles have light scratches and tiny specks of gold wear. The inside; a pinhole group near the bottom of interior; made that way. A few dark dots in ceramic on underside. Both pieces will have glaze flaws along with lumps, bumps spots and dots that are made that way. Each item will be packed in separate boxes for safe shipping.
