Made in the 1950s using both the polveri (aventurine metallic dust) and bullicante techniques, in a difficult-to-achieve ribbed design. Heavy, 4¾ lbs. The powder jar alone weighs nearly 2¾ pounds! Powder top echos the ribbed gold/bubble design in the handle on a clear cristalo lid. The perfume bottle has an original top but lacks the spray bulb. Impeccable, fine condition. Very collectible. Original label from Seguso on the jar. • DIMENSIONS: PERFUME - 6 in h (15.25 cm) w/top x 4¼ in w POWDER - 6 in high (15.25 cm) x 4⅝ in wide • WEIGHT: Total: 4¾-pounds (2154 g), exclusive of packaging. The small 'pontil scar artifact' on the bottom is not damage. FULL CONDITION REPORT: We thoroughly inspected this piece and found no cracks, chips, nicks, scuffs, flea bites, flakes, hairlines, notable scratches, or repairs with no evidence of grinding or restoration. Any natural indentations, bubbles, tool marks, or any other natural textural features are all original to this piece and normal for hand-blown glass. Wear to the base is consistent with age. *Pontil scar artifacts, usually on base (looks like a divot), are the remains of the normal scar and are recognized by collectors to not be damaged.
